From golden beaches and dramatic coastal walks to world-renowned art, St Ives and the surrounding area offer something for every pace of life.

Coast & Beaches

Surrounded by the crystal clear waters of St Ives Bay, the town is home to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. Porthmeor is popular with surfers thanks to its consistent waves and vibrant beachfront atmosphere, while Porthminster offers calmer waters and beautiful views across the bay. For a quieter escape, Porthgwidden is a sheltered cove perfect for swimming, relaxing and watching the sunset at the end of day.

Beyond the town, the South West Coast path reveals Cornwall’s breathtaking scenery, hidden coves and clifftops, making it one of the best walking routes in the country.
